Dallas Summer Musicals

In 1961, the Dallas Summer Musicals have been an autonomous civic organization that became independent of the State Fair of Texas. Since then, the Dallas Summer Musicals have enjoyed great success in entertaining the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and touring shows produced by the organization throughout the nation. Shows that toured nationally through the 1970's, 80's and 90's include:

  • Peter Pan, starring Sandy Duncan
  • Hello Dolly, starring Carol Channing
  • Fiddler on the Roof, starting Herschel Bernardi
  • Singin' in the Rain
  • Tommy
  • Jekyll & Hyde

Since these times, the Dallas Summer Musicals have become more than a show on stage, they have become part of the Dallas community. The DSM School for Musical Theatre helps to mold the stage masters of tomorrow. They make it a point to give hundreds of children the opportunity to see their first stage production and extend their outreach to Dallas youth through a Kid's Club.

The Music Hall at Fair Park is located at 909 First Avenue in Dallas. For further information regarding Dallas Summer Musicals, call 214.565.1116.
