Fort Worth Zoo
The Fort Worth Zoo is a nationally ranked zoo that is home to thousands of animals that are both native and exotic. Most of the facilities and natural habitat exhibits are set up for optimal closeness with the animals, often being separated by only a river or waterfall, or a large viewing window. The Fort Worth Zoo is a smoke-free facility, and pets are not allowed within the zoo.
Located throughout the Fort Worth Zoo are various spots where visitors can sit and unwind to take a break from the sun. Eateries located in the zoo include Burger King, Pizza Hut, Dickey's Barbeque, and an Ice Cream Parlor that serves Bluebell Ice Cream. Seasonal food stands feature pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, and Lemon Chills. Picnic tables in shaded areas are also located in the zoo, but glass containers are not allowed within the Fort Worth Zoo.
Admission to the Fort Worth Zoo is $9 for adults 13 and older, $6.50 for children 3-12, $5.50 for senior citizens 65 and older, and children 2 and under get in free. * Strollers, wagons, and motorized carts are all available for rent at the front gate of the zoo.
