Old City Park

Old City Park at 1717 Gano Street near downtown Dallas is one of the most unique museum experiences available in Texas. It is composed of 38 historic structures and includes a working farm, a traditional Jewish household, a school, a church, elegant Victorian homes, and commercial buildings as they would be found between the years of 1840-1910. Old City Park is dedicated to the preservation of representative structures, artifacts and other historical materials related to the history of Dalls and North Central Texas and to interpret these materials to the public through educational programming.

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from noon to 4pm year round, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Admission is $7 for adults 13 to 64, $5 for senior citizens over 65, and $4 for children 3 to 12 years of age with children under three admitted at no charge.

Old City Park is ideal for both self paced tours or guided tours at designated times. Tours are approximately one hour long and are offered at 1:30ps from Tuesdays to Saturdays, and at 2:30pm on Sundays. For $3 guests may partake in an available audio tour of the museum with a hand-held, multi-lingual audio recording about the history of the buildings as well as first person interpretations. *
